Gliderol: Native Series – 4 New Garage Door Colours
With the recent release of the new Gliderol Native Series colours; we wanted to take a closer look at this range of colours while showcasing our newest installation featuring the Grey Oak colour.
What is the Native Series?
The term ‘Native Series’ refers to Gliderol’s Native Series Range of colours which gives you the option to compliment your home and give your sectional garage door a natural, timber look finish without the price tag, hassle and maintenance of real timber. These panels are made up from durable Colourbond steel.
This selection of colours is currently made up of eight colours including the existing
Golden Oak, Dark Oak, Caoba and Classic Cedar and now also the new additions
to the line-up; Grey Oak, Weathered Teak, Walnut and Ashwood.
The Native Series is the easy way to go for a timber look panel garage door at an affordable price point.

Grey Oak and Weathered Teak
Our team here at Affordable Openings is really excited about the new colours, especially the Grey Oak and Weathered Teak colours. “They give a fresh and alternative colour option that has never been on the market before” says Earl, Affordable Openings General Manager.
Gliderol is the first and only garage door company in Australia to offer grey based timber look colours for sectional garage doors previously the only choices were red or brown based.
Weather Teak (Top) offers a lighter grey option whereas the Grey Oak (Bottom) offers a darker grey option.
Featured Installation
The before (Left) and after (Right) on this panel door installation is stunning and as you can see the new Grey Oak Panel Glide door has transformed the clients home and given the house a modern touch.
This garage door is the Gliderol in the Tuscan Design, Grey Oak Colour with the Woodgrain Finish. The installation also featured a Merlin Commander Elite (MS105MYQ) garage door opener.
Would a Grey Timber look Garage Door look good on my home?
If your home features greys in the facade, then a grey based timber look colour may be for you. The features that we usually see being used to determine a new garage door colour are the roof and guttering, fencing and brickwork. If your bricks have grey tones in them, a grey timber look garage door may compliment this perfectly.
Affordable Openings Garage Doors carries samples of the entire Native Series range at our showroom which also features a complete and operating Gliderol garage door set-up in the Caoba colour.
